The most unreliable cars in the UK have been revealed - and the list could make for very interesting reading indeed if you’re in the market for a new vehicle, having just handed over your last one to scrap car buyers.
Compiled by Warrantywise, the rundown features the last-generation Range Rover at the very top, thanks to its repair frequency rates and how expensive repair work can be, The Car Expert reports.
The top ten was made up of the Range Rover, the BMW M3, the Range Rover Sport, the Porsche Panamera, the BMW X6, the Porsche Cayenne, the Audi Q7, the Bentley Continental GT, the Mazda CX-5 and the BMW M5.
It’s certainly interesting to see so many luxury cars and brand names appearing in the top ten and this could be an indication that the quality of the car isn’t linked to how much you pay for it.
Lawrence Whittaker, CEO of Warrantywise, was quoted by the news source as saying: “The opinion that they should be very reliable, for the price that customers pay for them, is quite a popular one, and this evaluation of our data is helpful for us to guide customers the right way when wanting to make a large purchase on a luxury car, like a Porsche.”
Whatever car you are interested in, make sure that you have an accurate budget in mind and that you stick to it. Researching different online sites can give you an idea of what you can afford, as well as giving you insight into used car market prices, so you know what a fair price is on different vehicles.
